E3 2012 Media | ZombiU Makes E3 Debut - Gameplay Video, Screens on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Zombies are everywhere, and these unsightly undead are coming to London down in a huge outbreak. Can you survive on Wii U?

Confirmed earlier this week in a teaser trailer, the now re-named ZombiU was shown and demonstrated during Nintendo's E3 presentation today. Set in London, thousands of folks are being tainted by an outbreak of zombie-itis. As a survival, first-person shooter players embark on a journey of suvival.

The GamePad acts as your "Bug-Out Bag" or BOB for short - it's a suvival kit with inventory, tools, map and more. If you meet an unfortunate demise and are eaten - you respawn as a new survivor, with your previous form now zombiefied and carrying your BOB. Time to get it back... If you are infected, your online friends are alerted and can come and loot the gear your now-zombiefied character posseses.

Tense, disturbing action set in the bustling city and deep underground.

There'll also be a "Survirors" mode where one player becomes the "Zombie Master" - spawning enemies and traps using the GamePad, whilst the other player tries to survive using the Wii U Pro or Classic Controller. A protect-your-home mode finds you inside your home, protecting it against zombie onslaught.

It looks really promising. These are the kind of trailers that do the wii u a lot of justice. I think Ubisoft have done themselves proud this E3.

I like the concept of dying once and playing as a new character.

Out of nearly everything I saw for Nintendo, this game at least shows something new. I wanted more new games from 3rd parties shown like this but of course, yet again we got jack all!!!Smilie

When in doubt....Whip it out!

I really like the feel of this. The ability to basically play as something entirely different after you "die" is really interesting .... Can't wait to hear more on this one.

Was expecting a bit more though overall ... I'm a fan, so getting the console is a given. If I were a PC/PS3/XBox owner, not so sure they showed enough to convince those folk to buy it .... unless they held back that " One More Thing ... ".

Guess we shall see in due course. We haven't heard the pricing yet ...

Cheers,
