EA Sports Planning Wii U Announcements Next Month on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Fancy a little sporting action on the Wii U? EA Sports has teased news on unannounced titles for its Open House event in July.

Earlier today EA Games confirmed that the company will finally lift the lid on upcoming Wii U projects during the EA Sports Open House event on July 18th and 19th. The usual suspects, including FIFA 13, Madden NFL 13, NHL 13 and NBA Live 13 are due to be shown, however it's uncertain whether any of these will make the Wii U cut - yet - though it would be bizarre not to at least see a Wii U Fifa or Madden at somepoint.

Which EA Sports titles would you like to see receive the Wii U treatment?

Madden was confirmed for launch at E3, although only in interviews after the main conference. I think EA, like Activision, was paid to keep its mouth shut.

Well we know FIFA 13 is coming, too, obvs. It actually looks decent.

I'd be surprised if ESPN doesn't make some sort of deal with Nintendo that let's people watch sports games on the Wii Pad. "You're kids not willing to give up the T.V.? Watch the game on Nintendo's tablet controller!" Pure reversal GENIUS!!

Fifa is a no brainer for Europe as is madden for the states. What I wanna see is fight night. Love that game

Mirror's Edge 2 as surprise announcement.

I was gonna say Phoenixus!!....Not very nice getting my hopes up, especially with all the stuff left unfinished like Calihan & who knows how high the corruption went!

Parkour is kinda a sport. Smilie

I'm going go ahead and assume all of the standard EA Sports titles will be coming to Wii U (though FIFA and Madden are the most important) - these sports games are the bread and butter of the third party world. No FIFA says 'there'll be no proper third-party support' louder and clearer than anything else in my eyes.

I think.. yeah.

I'll announce them now: Madden 13 & FIFA 13

More so than standing in front of a goal and stretching every 3 minutes, at least. Well, they say horse riding and horse dancing are sports.
Actually I'm not sure what constitutes as a sport.
But I feel the common theme should be intense physical exercise for long periods of time. The rest are just games or staying a bit fit. I like to watch parkour though.

You are not alone. I am here with you. Though we're far apart...you're always in my heart. Love u!
