Collecting a million coins is your goal in New Super Mario Bros 2, but just how many can the entire world collect?
Marios everywhere will be nipping across forests, deserts and trap-filled castles in a bid to scavenge the Mushroom Kingdom for gold and according to the official website for the game all your efforts will contribute to an overall total. By connecting to the internet on the 3DS using SpotPass, players will be able to see just how many coins the world has collected as part of a "Worldwide Coin Total".
Just what or if this feature unlocks at certain numbers is unknown, however we are anticipating some reward incentives from Nintendo when the world passes certain milestones.
The game is out July 28 in Japan, followed by August 17 in Europe and August 19 in North America. Time to get your gold face on, Nintendo fans!
