Toki Tori 2 Confirmed for Nintendo Wii U on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Two Tribes has confirmed that Toki Tori 2 will be coming to the Wii U download service, in addition to the already planned PC and Mac versions. The original Game Boy Color game was remade on WiiWare and this is the reason Two Tribes cites for bringing this eagerly anticipated sequel to the new Nintendo format.

The Wii U version will actually come with its own specific feature, the Tokidex. Below is a brief explanation of what it is:

The Tokidex feature allows you to scan the area around Toki Tori for creatures and objects by using the Wii U Gamepad as a virtual camera with a viewfinder. Any creatures photographed will be added to the Tokidex. It's quite fun to do, especially with creatures that move quite a bit!

To celebrate the news, Two Tribes has released its first trailer for Toki Tori 2:

Cubed3 will have a review of the original Toki Tori posted soon, following its Virtual Console release on the 3DS eShop.

This was confirmed a while ago..? xD

The only thing that was recently revealed is how it would use the GamePad, Tokidex, etc. Smilie

Unless I was dreaming about this being confirmed for Wii U, but I'm pretty sure an article on NintendoLife about it a while back.

Yep, it was confirmed around E3 time to my knowledge.

Two Tribes specifically said that it wasn't confirmed back then, only hinted at. Who are we to question the actual developer of the game?
