The Cave Adventuring onto Nintendo Wii U

The creator of the The Secret of Monkey Island series, Ron Gilbert, will emerge on the Wii U with new download adventure, The Cave.

His studio, which also comprises fellow LucasArts designer Tim Schafer, is currently working on a labyrinth exploring title where three protagonists try to overcome a series of tricky puzzles deep within a mysterious cave setting.

The project was previously announced for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, and is now confirmed for Wii U as well, with a release early next year. Just how the Wii U's GamePad will come into effect is currently unknown, but expect this one to look rather gorgeous on Nintendo's new home console.
