Phoenix Wright Returns to 3DS in Ace Attorney 5 on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Your favourite defense attorney is taking the stand once more as Phoenix Wright has been confirmed to star in Ace Attorney 5.

Japanese magazine Famitsu has posted details on the new game - a 3DS point and click adventure with fully rendered 3D characters and some form of facial expression mechanic. The series took a slight detour with Miles Edgeworth getting his own pair of games, and Phoenix himself stepping back for Apollo Justice, but the prickly haired attorney is finally taking the lead once again.

Set one year after Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice, we see Wright returning to being a lawyer. There's an explosion at the courthouse and a high school girl known as Shinobu is in the frame... enter Phoenix, who faces Winston Payne's brother at trial.

Motohide Eshiro is acting as producer, alongside Takeshi Yamazaki, with series creator Shu Takumi focusing mainly on Level-5 collaboration, Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney.

Ace Attorney 5 will make its official debut at this year's TGS show with a demo planned for justice seeking show-goers.

THIS MAKES ME SO EXCITED AND HAPPY JESUS ;-;

I mean I really hope Apollo appears because it'd be kind of unfair for him to just be ditched like that, but everyone kind of expected Nick to retake the bar exam! I just really hope this gets localised.. Smilie
Everyone let Capcom know how badly we want this in the West! Smilie PLEAASE! I need this game to breathe-

How soon can I give CAPCOM my money? Just want to make sure we get a release in the US...

I was dancing and singing when I first read this on Court Records. If I already didn't have reasons to get a 3DS, I got one major reason now!

Now...let's see if Capcom decides to, you know, actually give us THIS game outside of Japan.

Um... wanted to point out something... The girl's name is "Shinobu", not "Shiobu". Wasn't sure if this was a spelling error or not...

With that out of the way, OH MY GOD
Could not be any more excited.

FFFFFFFFF SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE

I have nothing more intelligent to add.
