Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Add-On Songs for Week 11 on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The penultimate selection of add-on songs for Square Enix's Final Fantasy rhythm game is available now, and this week brings the long-awaited release of the the sole Final Fantasy Versus XIII track in the European version -- Somnus.

Only four more songs will be released next week for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, making the grand total of downloadable tracks 52, and Europeans can expect one of those to be Final Fantasy Type-0's We Have Arrived, which was released this week in North America.

Available now in Europe for £0.90 / €1.00, here are the four add-on songs released yesterday:

FINAL FANTASY X "Final Battle"
FINAL FANTASY XI "Gustaberg"
FINAL FANTASY XII "The Battle for Freedom"
FINAL FANTASY Versus XIII "Somnus"

The North American selection, available at $0.99, includes the following:

FINAL FANTASY I "Sunken Shrine"
FINAL FANTASY VIII "The Castle"
FINAL FANTASY XII "The Battle for Freedom"
FINAL FANTASY Type-0 "We Have Arrived"

Only 52 tracks? There's 100s of tracks they can continue to add, most of them fantastic and they're stopping already? Smilie

'Tis a shame. Could easily make a few more quids by carrying it on. A real shame they didn't delve into more non-mainline games like Crisis Core, Tactics or Crystal Chronicles. Heck, they didn't even go into FFX-2 for the gorgeous Eternity: Memory of Lightwaves.

You sure this is it? Maybe they'll start releasing a new set of DLC after a certain amount of time, I seem to remember Balthier being teased as a downloadable character, has anything happened regarding that or others yet?

Balthier thing was nothing more than a cheeky rumour. I don't expect anything to come from that.

I'd like to believe the same as you, that they may do more DLC in the future. We shall see, but nothing on the cards in Japan or elsewhere for now.

That's a shame.. putting on music from more side FF games, at least, would be a nice way for Square to give those games more notice, popularity, or see how much they were loved. I would adore a bunch of Crystal Chronicles tracks..

Oh maaaan, I wanted Devil's Lab, The Veldt, Figaro Castle, Force your Way, Eyes on Me (that WILL be played at my wedding when I dance with my wife!!!) & Dollet as well as a few tracks from Crisis Core like Pipes & Steel, Shinra Corporation, Sunny Day & the main theme of Crisis Core. Hell I'd even LOVE Zack & Tifa & DLC characters.

YESSS!!!! Now we just need more FF6/8 love as well as representation from Crisis Core & Crystal Chronicles. That opening Song from the GameCube origonal as well as the Selkie theme would be devine!!
