Bloody Ninja Gaiden 3 Trailer Shows New Ayane Gameplay on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is being developed exclusively for Wii U, with a number of changes and improvements being worked into what is essentially a Sigma version of the original game on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

As you will no doubt be able to see from the latest trailer that has just been released, decapitation and dismemberment is making a comeback, with blood and guts aplenty. Ayane, the purple-haired female ninja that many will recognise from the Dead or Alive series, is now a playable character in the Wii U edition, complete with her own set of moves similar to her appearance in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and brand new story scenes have been made to explain her role in Razor's Edge.

The Wii U GamePad displays additional information to the player, as well as lets you select weapons, perform Ninpo, and even has an option to play the game using the touch screen, similar to the Nintendo DS' Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword. Some more of the additions made to the Wii U version include improved AI, new enemy types and battle areas, plus exclusive weapons like Dual Katanas and the Lunar Staff. The Karma Counter returns, with players spending their points on upgrades to weapons, Ninpo, special moves and health bars, and online cooperatively play has even been functioned in.

After checking out the bloody trailer below, be sure to have a look at the Japanese website, which has lots of information on characters and weapons, plus around 50 new screenshots to feast over. The website also confirms that Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge will be a launch title in Japan.

Nah, I still say Kasumi's better & hotter. Still it's good to see the new head of Team Ninja can admit a mistake....hopefully this version STAYS Nintendo exclusive & the rumors of Nintendo picking up Mirror's Edge 2 & Devil's Third are true as well.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

They sound like NeoGAF's recent wish list, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Yeah. She's one of the characters on the website, anyway.

The REAL question is will we be able to play a MEGA KNOCKERS Racheal again!?! I love turning enemies into Swiss Cheese with her gatling gun. Mammoth sized MAMMARIES FTW!!
