3DS XL

Shown off alongside other 3DS and XL accessories on Nintendo's Japanese listings, the new XL variant of the Circle Pad Pro looks to be highly similar to the previous build, although seemingly not as clunky and far more adapted to the machine's shape..

Will any XL owners here be looking out for the CPPXL to hit retail shelves?

Isn't that space underneath the A, B, Y, and X button gagging for a built-in analogue stick?

Is that a battery? I can't read Chinese(or whatever language that's supposed to be).

The text (in Japanese) speaks of the hinge of the console. This was originally an image for illustrating that this is the handheld console with which Nintendo had the biggest amount of cables going through the hinge.

However I think what Phoen intended with the picture was to show that the PCB is already full of components at the free space underneath the A, B, Y and X buttons.

Yeah, sorry should have been more clear. Smilie

Plus including one on the XL would have been a huge middle finger to original 3DS buyers, so optional accessory was the best way to go.

I still hope Nintendo will release a 3DS XL Pro with all this stuff built in.

But the problem will always remain that there won't be too many games made for dual sticks.

This is ridiculous, I have no words for this.

The same here. I am speechless. I don't know what to say. I am silenced in disgust! Words cannot come out of my mouth.

I just do not understand why Nintendo cannot simply integrate the secondary circle pad instead of making a this hideous accessory which frankly is waste of plastic, integrating the pad itself shouldn't a problem, look at the size of the 3DSXL, just look at it, look at how much space they have to play with, but noooooooooooooooo, not not Nintendo, Nintendo want to do it their own way and do the consumer up the ass. Nintendo, you cease to amaze me.

I've actually found the circle pad pro on the original 3ds makes holding the 3ds much more comfy xD

Nah, you can't see it in the pic but that's where the SD card reader is.

You don't need games. Nobody does. I was exhilirated for days when I could play black and white tetris on a clunky gameboy. What you have here is amazing - just amazing technology. There must be actual things in your life worth to complain about. Try to solve them.

I'm looking and seeing a rather densely populated circuit board exactly where you are apparently seeing tons of space.

Plus, a stick there would be really uncomfortable.
Youd be better off putting it on the top screen above the buttons.
