Metal Gear ChangesWith a Picture in Every Box Konami have confirmed today that there are indeed two major release date changes for perhaps one of the most anticipated titles for the current generation consoles, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes with one region that benefits and the other resulting in a minor delay. The official site noted earlier today that the proposed date for the title in Northern America has changed to March 9th 2004 as opposed to the previously listed March 11th, excellent news to American based Metal Gear or genre fans. The title combines the story from the original with the acclaimed mechanics and gameplay style of the second into a completely redesigned product for the current generation Nintendo home console. However, contrasting news for fans waiting for the title in the United Kingdom, with the game being pushed back two weeks to the 26th of March 2004, perhaps to allow for a difference in the release dates in the two different regions however Konami keeping muted out the whole delay. To make up for the slight change of plans, the company will include an image by artist, Yoji Shinwaka with each copy of the title. Cubed3 shall have more information as it breaks.
