Nintendo Direct Yields New Hardware Bundles on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Set your sights to envy as Nintendo have shown off three new hardware bundles and a new standalone colour for its 3DS XL line of products.

First up is the new standalone black edition, going for 18,900 yen and releasing at the beginning of November.

Next is the bundle that the black 3DS XL will also be a part of, together with a digital copy of Monster Hunter 3G that is stored on the accompanying SD Card (which might hint at an eShop release for the game). This costs 21,800 yen and is also due on the 1st of November.

Mario fans rejoice, as the porky plumber gets his own special edition. Again, the game will be stored on the SD Card, and this edition will go for a slightly higher 22,800 yen on the 15th of November.

Last but not least, Animal Crossing gets its own bundle, with a copy of the game (you guessed it!) on the SD Card for convenience. Going for 22,800 yen on the 8th of November.

No word yet on whether these bundles will see the light of day outside of Japan, but with a European Nintendo Direct coming tomorrow and the eShop set to go down for 9 hours around the same time period, who knows what Nintendo are cooking up.

The Mario one looks nice & as long as the Monster Hunter 3G bundle costs less than buying the 2 separately I might get it later on.....still kinda ticked that I bought Tri on the Wii for nothing in a sense. I may "rebuy it" when Tri Ultimate comes out.....so long as there are more Marvel & Capcom characters to play as this time "wink wink greedy Capcom.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

Interesting since they finally decided to place games in the included SD Card. Since they're now 4 GB SDHC cards, you will still have enough space for other games. Wonder if Nintendo Land will be in the Wii U Deluxe HDD or as a disc. On the HDD makes more sense since it reduces manufacturing costs.

This comment makes no sense whatsoever, you won't have to "rebuy" Tri as Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate has so much more to it than Tri did. If you were the big Monster Hunter fan you claim to be, or if you knew as much about games as you claim to. You would know that Capcom ALWAYS make a G version of the main series Monster Hunter games. This was always going to happen, there's no denying that.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate IS MH3G, just with a different name. So there we go, we have a "G" version now. Smilie If you took the time out to see what they have added in this version, it is definitely worth "rebuying" it as you call it. Now, I know they've included a lot of stuff from previous MH games (Monsters, weapon classes, etc.) but if people haven't played any pre-Tri games, or don't have a PSP this is the "Ultimate" Monster Hunter game for them. Smilie

Capcom aren't forcing you to buy it, just wait for Monster Hunter 4. Now quit complaining, would ya?
