The official Japanese website for Monster Hunter 4 has been updated with snaps of a new location to explore.

The 3DS-exclusive entry in the popular adventure series finds players wandering into a "Cave in the Depths of the Earth", according to Gematsu, where Hunters will face a horde of returning foes plus new beasts Tetsukabura and Neruskura.

Beams of light, crystals, sprouting gas and other natural oddities await in this new 3D setting, with Hunters able to explore more of the surrounding area than in past installments.

Monster Hunter 4 is due for release in Spring 2013 in Japan.

My main problem with tri was that it wasn't portable, problem solved. Much like animal crossing ds, I'm going to lose a lot of time to this.
