New Trailer for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Wii U and 3DS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is slaying through the seas, the mountains and caves onto Wii U and 3DS - see new footage in the latest trailer.

The footage explores the enhanced Wii U version, due next March in the US and Europe, as our beast slaying warriors roam the expansive world once again. The game includes new monsters/locations, save-exchangey between the 3DS and Wii U edition, plus online features for the console version.

Just nit picking here, but the start of the first paragraph should be Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate or Tri Ultimate. Just so people don't get confused. Smilie Even 3G will suffice, as that is what it was known as in Japan.

The only reason I'm saying this is because it isn't a port of Tri, it's an expanded version.

It would have been cool if they put the Wii U's extra power to good use and made it a seamless world without load screens. Then I'd be tempted to pick it up

From what I've heard, the loading in this game is a lot quicker than the original Tri.

Also, if they made everything into one big area, they would have to completely remake the 3DS game, as it wouldn't be the easiest process. The main reason for this Wii U release, is to bring Monster Hunter 3G to the West with online play included.

It'd be nice to see them do this with future games though. Also, welcome to Cubed3! Stick around. Smilie
