Get an Original Wii Console Bundle for $130 in the US - Price Drop on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The Wii U is on the way next month, but its baby brother can still reel in new owners with a Wii price cut due later this month.

The console, which currently retails for around $150 USD will drop to $129.99 from October 28th, which translates to around £80, €100 and $127 AUS. The new pack will include the re-configured Wii console in black (which removes GameCube support), Wii Sports + Wii Sports Resort on a single disc, plus the usual array of accessories.

Nintendo of Europe have yet to announce a price-cut for the console at time of writing, but newer Wii bundles are expected in the run-up to the Christmas season.

Removed Gamecube support? That's practically the Wii's best feature. Smilie

Bargain methinks. The Wii does have a good set of games and if you're feeling strapped for cash a good buy imo. Though the lack of GC support is a bit stupid?

Waste of £80 to be fair for a dead console, considering it wasn't exactly pricey to begin with 6 years ago!

I remember you could get  a white Gamceube for £30 in Argos near the end of the console life.
