PlayStation All-Stars Characters Enter Super Smash Bros via Hack on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A majority of the PlayStation All-Stars ensemble have been brought over to Nintendo's Super Smash Bros ring to battle.

Sony's efforts to emulate the Nintendo/HAL formula was praised for having a diverse range of characters spanning a manner of different franchises. Whilst re-texturing the existing cast of Super Smash Bros. Brawl to look like other characters isn't new, a group of PlayStation All-Stars fans have brought over a large number as part of a texture/costume collection.

The line-up includes Sackboy, Heihachi, Ratchet and Clank, Dante, Lara Croft, Niko Bellic, Old Snake, Raiden and more, downloadable with many existing character/level mods via the Brawl Vault.

Not at all surprised about this, but wow talk about quick work! I guess there was a team working on this or something.
Brawl hacking has come such a distance since it started out, now completely replacing sounds, names, models and movesets rather than merely changing a model's textures.

Well from what I've read, this is quite a half-ass hack of not very good quality, really. Nice to mess around with but it sounds like they just wanted to get something out there just because they can. If I could be arsed to try it, I would.

I saw this a couple of days ago! Quite cool who needs the PS Copy!!
Talking about the PS Copy I've downloaded the Beta yesterday played for about an hour and its very similiar to Brawl even the moves have been copied! But still feels like a cheap copy though...!

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!

Yeah I agree, I also hate how LONG it takes to KO someone...feels like a forced Coin mode given the fact that you've gotta collect Orbs for power before you can do ANYTHING!! Also a lack of downward dodge is a complete fail.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
