Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Download is Cheaper Than Retail on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Namco Bandai's Nintendo-themed fighter is heading to the digital space as one of the first Wii U downloadables.

Spotted on the Official Website (via NeoGAF), the game  will launch with the system in Japan, but interestingly will be cheaper if you download it.

At time of writing the retail edition will cost 6,980 Yen (£54/$87), whilst the eShop equivalent will set players back a significantly cheaper (£48/$78). Downloading Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will also rack up 16.7GB on an SDHC card or external hard-drive.

Plans and pricing options outside Japan have yet to be discussed.

Yet i am being told on C3 that Amazon are selling it at £34.99...and Zavvi are £29.99 for hard copies. Theres no re-sale value on digital distribution, i think people would be silly to do it, especially if they like to trade or take games over to friends houses etc.

Those are some nice deals for Europe, USA Amazon still shows $59.99.

Got mine ordered for £28, I fucking love Tekken but I'm hesitant to buy anything for over £40 jesus.
