Sneaky, brutal ninja action is dicing its way to Wii U in the form of Ninja Gaiden 3, confirmed for a January release.

The enhanced Wii U edition of the game features additional fan favourite Ayane as a playable character with exclusive chapters, additional costumes, online co-operative and easy control using the GamePad screen.

After launch Team Ninja will be releasing additional free downloadable content, including extra playable characters, to be revealed nearer the time.

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is out on Nintendo Wii U on January 11th 2013, however will still hit release day on November 18th in the US.

Really liking the sound of this, I haven't played a Ninja Gaiden game since the NES days. So it'd be nice to get back into the series with this game. Team Ninja seems to have really improved on this since it's original release.

There's actually a lot more new content than I expected, plus they plan to release more characters as FREE DLC at some point. Free DLC is always good, I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on this one.
