The latest edition in EA's long-running football franchise, FIFA 13, has broken records by selling over 7 million units.
The popular sports sim, a now annual affair, has scored a barrage of goals against its competitors with 7.4 million copies of the game, excluding mobile downloads, sold within its first four weeks of release. Bare in mind this is also excluding the potential from the Wii U-specific edition due out later this month.
4.5 million of these were sold within the first five days, making FIFA 13 the biggest sports title launch to date.
On the digital side, Shack News reports a steady increase with net revenue coming to $115 million for the first half of the current fiscal year for the likes of FIFA Online 2 and FIFA World Class Soccer.
