Be the First to Play Wii U at the North America Official Launch

Nintendo are planning an official midnight launch in the US for lucky fans to be the first of the public to grab hold of the new Wii U console.

From 6pm on Saturday 17th November 2012, the New York Rockefeller Plaza will be kitted out with Nintendo goodies as fans wait patiently and excitedly in line for the new system. Those adopting the consoles as the clock strikes twelve will be greeted by Reggie Fils-Aime and quirky Mii costumed characters.

There'll also be Mario/New York themed t-shirts sold at the event with sales donated to American Red Cross in support of the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
