VOTE for your favourite Graphics of 2012

There have been many exceptional games this year that have developed and pushed visual art styles, cinematic designs on the Wii U and 3DS. Whether it's the polygon intense landscape of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, the adorable and slightly eccentric world of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance or the sublime detail in Trine 2: Director's Cut, there is a solid selection of candidates for your 2012 game of the year with the best overall graphics.

So now it's up to you to have your say - which game of 2012 has the best graphics in your opinion? Place your vote in our poll and be sure to share your thoughts below.

Voting for this poll closes midnight Sunday 23rd December

Surprised The Last Story didn't get a look in. Very impressive for a Wii game.

This is kind of awkward to get a read on considering there's 3DS games in there as well. If you're talking about stylised graphics vs raw power etc etc.

Out of that list for me it's probably Darksiders II. The world is gorgeous, character design spot on and it's perfectly stylised across all of the main four locals or so. It's quick and fluid with very little slowdown and some of the visual set pieces are phenomenal.

Mass Effect 3 would come a close second just for the sheer amount that's happening, the awesome Abrams flare and the view from Palaven is enough to settle it for me - though it's a set piece heavy game.

This years edition of CoD looked particularly good I have to say. Smooth and slick with some very nice graphical tweaks here and there. I'm surprised what they're still doing with the quake Engine tbh.

Assassins Creed 3....erm NO. Graphical bugs everywhere, poor frame rates and really bad pop in. The whole game looked kinda grainy - though this was the only title that I played on a console (the above were all PC) out of the above, the world was bland, even the frontier was poorly designed. Anvil 'Next' is a poor show.

Trine 2 looked drop dead stunning though (PC again), the lighting, the areas...tough call.

I'm surprised by how even this poll is. Trine 2 looks simply amazing but I generally never vote for games I haven't played, so Nintendo Land it is.

Journey on PS3, for me.
