Cars Turn to Mechs in Square Enix's New 3DS RPG

Square Enix have bolted together a new trailer for upcoming Nintendo 3DS RPG based on growing IP Gyrozetter.

For those unfamiliar with Gyrozetter, the series features cars that can shape-shift into meaty mechas. Think Transformers, but in an animé, rather over-the-top setting in Japan with young teenagers piloting these mechanical warriors.

The 3DS adaptation of the new IP sees the cast from the already-airing TV series shrunk down to blend of racing/exploring the open road with armed battles. It's due out in Spring 2013 in Japan, exclusively for Nintendo's handheld.
