Monster Park Remains in Dragon Quest VII on Nintendo 3DS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Square Enix has released new screenshots and details on the upcoming Dragon Quest VII remake for the Nintendo 3DS - it's all about taming and raising monsters in this side quest.

As translated by a NeoGAF member, the report confirms that much of the original Playstation version remains intact in the transition to Nintendo's handheld.

The Monster Park mode, a side quest that allows players to view monsters in their natural habitat, will still be available for warriors to engage in a little beast taming together with expanding the park with new species encountered in the Dragon Quest VII world.

In the Nintendo 3DS version there's also a new cave within the park, and players can explore this area with up to three monster recruits to collect "Streetpass Shards" - these are used within "Immigrant Town" to access newer chunks of the storyline and additional areas.

Dragon Quest VII is heading to Japanese stores on February 7th 2013 in Japan.
