Nintendo Hands a 1-Up to Brownie Brown with a Studio Rebranding on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Brownie Brown are no more. The Nintendo-owned Japanese studio, renowed for its work on Mother 3, have rebranded as 1-Up.

Like Nintendo, the studio are currently shuffling its internal structure to better coordinate projects with Nintendo. In order to make the transition to the new setup and ways of working, Brownie Brown will cease to exist, instead the team will now be known as the more Nintendo-like "1-Up Studio" with the website to be taken down after March 31st.

Brownie Brown have a strong reputation in their RPG design and development for over a decade, helping Nintendo craft the popular Mother 3, the London Life bonus game in Professor Layton and the Last Spector and the 3DS RPG Fantasy Life.
