Ubisoft Explains Rayman Legends Wii U Delay; Will Release Exclusive Demo Soon on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Ubisoft has explained the reason for the Wii U version of Rayman Legends' delay till September. As most suspected, it is for no other reason than to simply launch simultaneously with the recently confirmed PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. Releasing multiplatform games at the same time has always been Ubisoft's tradition, and that is going to be the case for Rayman's upcoming platformer, too.

It is hard to accept for Wii U owners that were looking forward to playing what will be a great game within the next couple of weeks, but Ubisoft has said it will be offering an exclusive Wii U demo of Rayman Legends very soon. It'll do little to make up for the unfortunate delay news, however.

Not interested anymore. Won't be gettin it for my 360 either. I hate when politics show through in the gaming world. The game is done and was MADE for the Wii U exclusively... now at the 11th hour it's multi-platform? And Wii U fans hafta wait 7 more months? That's the reason... multi-platform all of a sudden? Nah, I'll pass.

Yeah, there's a demo out already. But Ubisoft is saying it will be releasing another demo just for Wii U... to sort of make up for the fact that they delayed the Wii U game until September. So there'll be another demo soon.

Just release the damn game on Wii U, Ubisoft!

The UPlay Miiverse Community has been a non-stop stream of complaints, criticisms, and calls for boycotts of Ubisoft games ever since this delay was announced.

Wow, this is insanely dumb.
A few weeks would have made sense - sycning marketing campagns to save money, sure.

But sacrificing 7 months of sales?   There will be a lot more games competing on WiiU in that time, to start with.
Secondly, you dont wait over half a year to sale something - you sale now and then in 7 months you hopefully have a DIFFERENT GAME TO SALE.   If they dont have any WiiU game in the next 7 months, thts insane. If they do, however....bang, they are competing with themselfs.

It must be to do with Microsoft's agreement...its pretty shitty to be fair...oh well...it will most likely get less sales in September literally due to competition!
