Dragon Quest VII 3DS Sells Over 800k in Four Days in Japan on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Dragon Quest is continuing to take Japan by storm, this time summoning sales through the Dragon Quest VII: Warriors of Eden Nintendo 3DS remake.

The portable version of the popular 2000/2001 PlayStation game has had an exceptional launch since touching down on February 7th. In the first two days the Nintendo 3DS game shipped one million units to retailers, according to Famitsu, and until the week ending February 10th saw 827,922 new adventurers taking home a copy.

Dragon Quest VII 3DS brings the well regarded RPG to Nintendo's portable, completely with a stunning 3D overhaul, additional content and quests not seen in the original.

Also in the Japan charts is a continually dominating Nintendo 3DS presence, with the portable cementing its mark on the top five games for the week. Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Fantasy Life and New Super Mario Bros. 2 continue to dominate.

That is incredible! They HAVE to send this remake over. I want to join the fun...

Inb4 Square-Enix says something like "3DS is disappointing, consoles are killing us" and goes back to developing utter shite on iOS and more FFXIII sequels instead of bringing out the quality titles people actually want.

Bringing this over would be one thing to stop them from being dead to me.
