New Trailer for HomeTown Story 3DS from Harvest Moon Creator on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Natsume have released a new trailer for upcoming 3DS project lead by Yasuhiro Wada - HomeTown Story.

Previously known as Project Happiness, the game essentially sees players put in charge of a shop - earning and interacting with new customers, helping out these folks with their requirements.

HomeTown Story has a solid team behind it, lead by the chap who created Harvest Moon - Yasuhiro Wada - with illustrations from Pokémon artist Atsuko Nishida. Natsume aren't skimping out on the musical side either, with Nobuo Uematsu stepping in as composer.

In an interview with Famitsu, Wada hopes for the game to release this year as it's between 50 and 60% done.

It looks like someone trying to imitate HM. You'd think if the actual guys were working on this it would look a little better. 

I'll have to pass and just listen to the Uematsu score.

It's very likely that this is a cousin of Harvest Moon. The literal translation of the Japanese title for Harvest Moon is "Farm Story" (and of course Wada created both).

The trailer isn't exactly selling me on the game, and that narrator is kind of annoying. Maybe it's just me.

For what it's worth, I've not been fond of the last few Harvest Moon games, even though I loved Harvest Moon 64 and Friends of Mineral Town.

idk I really liked the marriage aspect of harvest moon, it's a shame since each character is different  in this game and each have there own story! But since the marriage part has been down sized on a game so focused on character interaction it feels like a missed opportunity...  such a shame too... well just have to wait and see...
