Assassin's Creed IV Wii U: Why Pirates?

The development folk behind the upcoming chapter in the Assassin's Creed franchise explain the shift to a sea setting.

Ubisoft revealed the debut screenshots and video for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag earlier this week as new protagonist, assassin Captain Edward Kenway takes on the most deadly oceans, swapping solid land for the seas. But why the shift in mood and setting from the recently released Assassin's Creed III?

Speaking to Game Informer in a video interview, the story writer, director and art director explain what drew the team to the Pirate setting.

I thought it was bit odd doing it as well as they should surely be putting their efforts in to the current one!

Actually quite a few games were advertised during the CL game last night!
