Platinum: Want Okami 2? Simply Ask Capcom on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A fan recently quizzed Platinum Studios on whether they or Capcom would consider creating an Okami 2 sequel for Nintendo Wii U.

The original Ōkami was created by the now defunct Clover Studio, many of whom went on to work at Platinum Games, so a potential sequel is something the studio could develop given the go ahead from rights holder and publisher Capcom.

More recently an HD version of the PlayStation 2 edition was released at retail in Japan and is available as a downloadable title in Europe/North America on PlayStation 3.

Director Hideki Kamiya responded to requests for a Wii U version with simply "Ask Capcom".

If Capcom agree to a sequel, regardless of who develops it, would you be interested in Okami 2?

After Okamiden (which i felt wasn't a good sequal but not a bad game either in general just not great) I don't think i'd get another Okami game unless it was for the Wii U seeing as how perfect the hardware is for it. Okami HD is pretty inevitable for Wii U too, would be crazy not to.

Also worth noting Okami sold great on the Wii.

They've got my vote as long as it's a Wii U exclusive!! The 3DS itteration heavily hinted at a sequal, so make it a 3rd one guys!!

The world needs more action-adventure games in general.
Okami,Zelda,BG&E...? LBA for a earlier example.

Still, its a badly undercatered too genre.
