Six Pokémon Wii U NFC Figures Revealed in New Trailer on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo has today revealed the six NFC figures that players will be able to buy for Pokémon Rumble U.

As announced earlier this week, the upcoming download/eShop Wii U sequel will be compatible with the GamePad's NFC reader. Essentially it will allow players to purchase specially designed figures - six in total initially - to be imported in the game.

The six critters will be Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Piplup, Torchic, Victini and Lucario as optional extras for those who wish to use these Pokémon in the game.

These figures aren't required to play, but can save stats and would be potentially more powerful than those caught in the game itself.

Watch the latest trailer for Pokémon Rumble U to see how the NFC works in action.

They will be gacha ball machine toys, which is rather fitting. The first set will have 7 pokemon, thats the 6 above but also a 7th "secret" one. But if you look at the 3 pokemon on the carry case, you can see Victini, Pikachi and im pretty damn sure Eevee, so my money is the 7th being an Eevee toy which will be the hardest one to get, making to spend more money trying to get one from the machines Smilie

Looks uninspired and very much like a cheap cash in. Being a download only game is no excuse. THe whole thing doesnt look very nintendo in quality.

Nintendo is trying to cash in the Skylanders way. They need all the help they can get at this point.

All hail the Chain Chomp at GS FORUMS!

Tacky....

I like games and arcades with some kind of physical augmentation, but the deformed figures are the let down here. Looks almost like a counterfeit.
