HMV to Sell Nintendo Wii U Premium with ZombiU to £199 on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Wanting to grab hold of a Wii U Premium bundle in the UK? HMV is the place to go as it'll retail at £199.99 from March 25th.

The Nintendo Wii U is struggling across the globe, but in the UK sales for the new hardware have been abysmal. With Nintendo UK beavering on behind the scenes to eventually remedy things, retailers have taken drastic action by reducing the price of the Basic edition to sub £200.

However entertainment house HMV has taken things that one step further by reducing the 32GB Premium edition, which also includes a copy of Nintendo Land and ZombiU, to just £199.99.

The bundle launched at £349.99, but now comes at a £50 loss to HMV for all stock sold at the new, far lower price.

Speaking to CVG, HMV confirmed that the discount will begin Monday 25th March while stocks last.

The Wii Mini launched today, but HMV aren't selling the older hardware - joined by other retailers baffled by the move.

Will you purchase a Wii U Premium Bundle at this lower price?

A massive kick in the face for those who purchased a Wii U on launch...how will Nintendo respond? Its nearly half the price I paid already!

And this is why we don't early adopt. I learnt my lesson with the Vita...Though that hasn't dropped in price at all.

So no lesson learned? To be fair the 64 dropped quite quickly too, the Gamecube and Wii were cheap from launch anyway. I didn't have any issues with the GBA or DS either...i still haven't bought a 3DS but didn't think the price would drop in such a dramatic fashion.

I guess the difference here is that its the retailers dropping the price, not Nintendo!

Which actual package is it? The Zombie U package with pro controller or the premium package with Nintendoland and just the Zombie U game thrown in?
