Ubisoft: Rayman Legends will be a Huge System Seller on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Ubisoft is expecting Rayman Legends to be one of the big releases to help shift the Nintendo Wii U console this year.

In an interview with Games Industry, Ubisoft France's Xavier Poix has high hopes for the previously Wii U-exclusive project, noting how "power of the brands from Nintendo and we know from the fans that the majority of what will be the system sellers are not yet available".

From Ubisoft's perspective, he feels "Rayman will be one of them for sure. We really expect Rayman to be a huge system seller on the console."

However with Rayman Legends now a multiformat project instead of Wii U only, despite having a handful of exclusive features, can it have the same impact at retail?

What are your thoughts on the Rayman Legends situation?

It seriously could have been a huge system seller if you you know

released it last month when there were no games coming out for it, rather than later this year when everyone will be interested in other things.

Just sayin.

Smilie Plonker is the right word! I know Ubisoft are trying to make it up to the WiiU fanbase, but gosh.

I might save this article for proof of how deluded some French people really can be...

Rayman is a great IP and tends to have great games...but to think it is going to shift consoles...well....

It will shift Wii U, but not as much as it could have - shame, really. Then it'll be a case of "oh, the Wii U version didn't perform as well. We were right  to release it on Xbox 360/PS3."

Business people, eh?
