Citizens of Earth Landing on Wii U Nintendo eShop

Canadian studio Eden Industries has announced a new RPG inspired by Earthbound for the Wii U eShop - Citizens of Earth, due March next year.

In Citizens of Earth you play the Vice President of the entire World, who returns to his home town after his election campaign to find that things are a little off. In order to battle and fix up the town, it's down to you to recruit more than 50 locales to help - each with their own abilities.

Examples pitched to Siliconera include a barista who can attack with scorching hot coffee or a baker who can heal your allies with tasty cakes.

Citizens of Earth will also include online multiplayer, where players can do battle using parties of townsfolk against one another.
