E3 2013 | FIFA 14 Heads to Wii, 3DS but Wii U Given Red Card on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Contrary to previous reports and speculation, FIFA 14 is heading to Nintendo consoles this year but one player has been left waiting on the bench.

In a press release for the annual EA football installment, it appears that Nintendo fans will still be able to get a slice of the action on Nintendo 3DS and Wii, but newer Wii U owners will have to get satisfaction elsewhere.

Alongside the Xbox 360/PS3 and the next-generation Xbox One and PS3, the game is also heading to a plethora of older formats including - yes - the PSP and Playstation 2.

It appears then that audience and ownership is the big issue here, and despite no mention of Wii U, the game could very well make a surprise appearance if the system performs better than expected in the coming months.

Will you take on the FIFA pitch on 3DS or Wii?

This. makes. no. sense.

Working like a fiend isn't very fun... and surprisingly isn't very fiendish either.
