Ikaruga Creator's 3DS Project Kokuga Heading to the West

Japanese developer G.Rev have confirmed a summer release in the West for the much anticipated new project from Ikaruga creator Hiroshi Iuchi.

The man who designed the iconic arcade shooter Ikaruga is bringing his pinpoint design and gameplay precision to the 3D portable in a new game title Kokuga. Players take charge of a tank through 15 stages with attack/defense cards shown on the bottom screen, which offer abilities like force field and craft repair on the fly.

Released in Japan last September the project is set for release in America, Europe and Australia before the end of July and will support four player download play.
