Nintendo in Contact with Construct 2 Team on Web Framework

Reports suggest that Nintendo have been in talks with the team behind the HTML5 game creator/engine Construct 2.

The software allows designers, whether beginner or advanced programmers, to develop games for multiple devices including browser (HTML5), Google Android and Apple iOS. The company have expressed interest before, and the team confirmed that they are in talks with Nintendo about the Web Framework.

By developing an output/export function for projects onto Wii U, the potential for user-driven indie releases onto Wii U would certainly boost Nintendo's eShop approach even further.
