Rumour: Pokémon X and Pokémon Y 3DS XL Bundles? on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

RUMOUR: Retailer reports suggest that Nintendo will be releasing two new Nintendo 3DS XL bundles in time for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

A source speaking to Destructoid revealed the new SKUs - bundles that come in either a red flavour or a cool blue, presumably a nod to the original Pokémon generation. The inventory listing for these bundles state that they would retail for $199.99 and each contain a copy of one of the Poké-versions. Given the popularity of Pokémon and Nintendo's tendency to release 3DS XL bundles, new SKUs are very much a given for the holiday season.

The source also highlighted a potential Nintendo Wii U bundle for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD.

I'm usually in favor of physical copies of my games. BUT if the 3DS XL comes WITH Pokemon Y and still costs $199.99 then I might get one, seeing as normal 3DS XL costs $199.99 which will mean the digital game will be free.

I still might get the physical copy of the other version if this is the case.
