Nintendo have launched Famicom Bunko: Hajimari no Mori, a text-adventure game, for the Nintendo Wii U Virtual Console.
Out today on the Wii U eShop in Japan, Famicom Bunko, which translates to "Famicom Pocket Books: Forest of Beginnings", was the only title in the planned series to release on Nintendo Power cartridges back in 1999.
The game was devised for the SNES and starred a young lad who visited his grandfather in the rural Kuzuonoki village over the summer. He befriends a girl and the pair go on mystical adventures in a text-based adventure with a handful of puzzles.
Due to the limited availability of Nintendo Power writable cartridges the title didn't sell as well as expected and unfortunately, a series was never born.
