Zelda and Mario Costumes for Monster Hunter 4

The Nintendo fan service resumes with a selection of additional costumes for Monster Hunter 4 including Mario and Link.

Confirmed in the Monster Hunter 4 Direct presentation earlier today, Capcom and Nintendo have partnered to bring a little slice of Nintendo into the brutal world of Monster Hunter.

The Felynes cats will have a nifty Mushroom Kingdom make-over, with the ability to dress these critters in Mario and Luigi costumes. It would be a little odd for hunters to be dressed as  the cheerful heroes, so  this was the ideal means of blending both franchises.

Monster Hunter 4 players will be able to download these costumes at selected 7-11 stores across Japan.

Nintendo also confirmed a Link outfit and weapons, featuring the Hylian hero's famous green garb, plus the Master Sword and shield. Those who prefer a more long-range approach can use his bow instead.

The Legend of Zelda costume set will be available as a download at a future date.
