An interview with Disney CFO Jay Rasulo has pointed to a solid start for the company's most recent gaming IP, Disney Infinity.
The multimedia project, which includes NFC figures as toy play-sets, is one of Disney's biggest investments for 2013, incorporating multiple IPs and platforms, but faces huge competition from Activision's already successful Skylanders.
Speaking to Polygon, Rasulo said that despite it being early days, Disney Infinity is "on par" with Skylanders and that "all indications are great".
He didn't give away any sales data just yet, but did highlight how the majority of new players average out at around 13 years-old, with a handful over 20. The game's most popular platforms are Xbox 360 and PS3.
Have you tried Disney Infinity yet - what are your thoughts on NFC-dependant titles?
