Nintendo is confident that The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will be a system seller during this holiday season.
It's a very important few months for Nintendo, with the Wii U in desperate need to regain momentum as Sony and Microsoft launch their latest hardware offerings. One of the contenders for the coming months is the HD, Wii U remake of the critically acclaimed GameCube Zelda tale, The Wind Waker. The game was rated a solid gold 9/10 score in our review.
Speaking to MVC, Nintendo product manager Roger Langford feels that it's the "perfect time" for fans of the franchise to discover the Wii U, and that Nintendo are treating the game as a "triple-A new release" rather than a straight-forward re-release.
Langford hopes that the game will have the same success that Ocarina of Time 3D has had on the Nintendo 3DS.
