EA's Richard Hilleman has been vocal when it comes to Nintendo and the role of famed designer Shigeru Miyamoto within the industry.
During a talk about app-development at D.I.C.E Europe this week, he expressed that the next wave of consoles will see a shift from traditional hardware to software, a "continuous change" as he feels younger players learn from touch devices/mobiles over traditional games platforms.
He cited Shigeru Miyamoto as an example, thanking the Nintendo designer for his contribution to the market, but feels that Miyamoto is "falling down on the job. And for the past five years that job has been taken over by a dead guy from Cupertino. [Steve Jobs]".
What are your thoughts on Hilleman's comments on Miyamoto and the state of gaming?
