That trailer is CRAZY. Goes a long way to dispelling any doubt that 3D World will be a worthy successor to the Galaxy games. Brilliant.

Anyone else noticing a pattern that Nintendo likes to do sometimes as if it's just to troll everybody?

1. Announce a new game and only show very little footage that's based on the playable demo they have, causing a lukewarm reaction.
2. Absolute silence on the game for months until it's much closer to its release, voices of naysayers become louder as they once again declare Nintendo's lost its magic and is doomed.
3. Show a new trailer that showcases a lot more of the game, catching tons of people off guard and raising hype levels through the roof.
4. ???
5. Profit!!

The most notable example of this was Skyward Sword and today they've also done it with Super Mario 3D World and to a lesser degree, A Link Between Worlds.

This game seriously looks incredible!

Looks like there may be much more to this game than I originally anticipated! Looking good!

Working like a fiend isn't very fun... and surprisingly isn't very fiendish either.

I never doubted the game for more than 10 seconds. It looked like a lot of fun in the first trailer... and it's made by the guys who made Galaxy 1 &2!

Now this new footage really excites me, it looks even a bit better than I thought it would.

This does look far better then the normal "new" mario games.
Lots of interesting gimick ideas, and a overworld.
