Pokémon Bank, Transporter to Launch on Dec 27th, Costs $4.99 per Year on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo have set a release date for the Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter software apps on the 3DS eShop.

The cloud-based service, which allows trainers to store up to 3,000 critters on virtual boxes on the internet, will be available from December 27th on the Nintendo eShop.

Transporter, which is bundled with Pokémon Bank, will allow trainers to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, and Pokémon White 2 to boxes in the Pokémon Bank. Until January 31st 2014, there'll be a free pass to use the service for 30 days.

From then on, there'll be a $4.99 annual charge to ensure that the servers and service remain compatible with future Pokémon titles.
