Ubisoft Comments on Wii U Version of Watch Dogs on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

An interview with Watch Dogs creative director Jonathan Morin highlights just how the Wii U version compares to the other formats.

With the upcoming game to be released on a plethora of different platforms including Wii U, Xbox One and PS4, fans have been curious to know just where the Wii U version sits. Does it lean towards the current or next generation systems?

According to Morin, the Wii U version "is pretty much in between what the current gen is and what the new gen is from a from a version standpoint. It's hard to position it." He goes onto express how he feels that Watch Dogs on Wii U sits "closer to current gen" for certain things, but "it's cool to play it just on the GamePad".

Well, it's cool to see it runs better than on the 360 and PS3 (at least that's how I read this news).
But did he have to conclude with "hey it's cool because you can play it off-TV"?

Yeah I agree, this gives me the impression they're gonna half ass the Wii U version & not utilize the gamepad as well as they could've...I hope I'm wrong but Ubi seems to be following the "Meh Nintendo" trend some devs have fallen into.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
