I am planning on getting both TLOZ: ALBW and also TLOZ:OOT3D next month, but I always prefer physical copies, I think digital copies are a ripoff since they save money on packaging and distribution and yet the price for a digital copy is the same as a physical one.

Of course, they make more money with digital copies.

Same? Often more expensive if anything! Look at Fire Emblem and Pokemon, the digital copies are more than you can find it at retailers and online. (Unless you shop at GAME)

I'm picking up the 3DS XL bundle for Zelda, so it'll be digital for Zelda and physical for Mario.

Buy physical for both if I were you, all of the games will be cheaper physically right now!  The future resale value of these games will be well worth it if you do ever end up selling it! Although you don't want to slow down your 3DS by having downloaded games on there!
