Super Mario 3D World has "a lot" of Live Music Tracks on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Lead composer for Super Mario 3D World, Mahito Yokota has confirmed that a portion of the game has live tracks.

Super Mario Galaxy was praised by a large number of fans and critics alike for its exquisite orchestral soundtrack that was performed by real instruments, but games like New Super Mario Bros. U have opted for a more traditional midi sound.

For the forthcoming 3D platforming game, Super Mario 3D World, fans will be pleased to know that "there are naturally a lot of tracks performed live" said Yokota in an interview with Destructoid. "We're arranging the music with a big-band feel, taking advantage of a full horn section with trumpets and saxophones."

The news about this game just gets better and better. Smilie

This news makes me so stoked. Live orchestra is insane during videogames of any kind and should be considered by more designers.
