eShop Discounts for Zelda on Wii U, 3DS for One Week Only on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

To celebrate the release of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between worlds, Nintendo will be running discounts on a range of Zelda games.

There'll be weekly discounts for a selected character on the North American eShop, and this week it's the hero of time, the pot-smashing chap known as Link. These discounts will be available from today until 20th November.

Nintendo Wii U

  • The Legend of Zelda - $3.49 (Was $4.99)
  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link - $3.49 (Was $4.99)

Nintendo 3DS

  • The Legend of Zelda - $3.49 (Was $4.99)
  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link - $3.49 (Was $4.99)
  • The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX - $3.99 (Was $5.99)

Holy crap, what a massive saving!!!! ¬¬

Those prices are starting to come close to what I'd pay for VC games. I already own the NES cartridges and the Collector's disc on the GameCube, but for €2 I'd get them for the 3DS.

Speaking of smashing pots, this is a pretty nice podcast on A Link to the Past. It discusses what's so good about the game and what should be returning for ALBW. And it's not too long, 28 minutes:

I'll be getting Zelda II for Wii U and Link's Awakening for 3DS.

I love that Nintendo is doing these deals. The games are steals at these prices.

I wonder what games will be available with the Mega Man, Mario, and Donkey Kong sales in the coming weeks. I have a feeling that I'm going to be spending a lot of money on the Virtual Console very soon...
