Nintendo of Europe to Enhance StreetPass Relay on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo of Europe have updated the StreetPass relay feature across the continent to enhance connectivity between fans.

No matter how busy a relay point is in the Nintendo Zone network, whether it's the solitary café or bustling pub, there'll always be a chance to meet up to six Mii characters from November 14th. There may even be data from 3DS owners from other countries, breaking down digital borders!

Nintendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata also teased more StreetPass goodies on the way for 3DS players in the coming months.

Have you used StreetPass Relay yet?

Going to test it this afternoon!

I hope this will cause a giant increase in people bringing their 3DSs along.

Results from my test:

Before StreetPass Relays were introduced, I would be lucky to get one StreetPass, once in a blue moon.

When StreetPass Relays were first introduced, I was guaranteed at least 1-3 StreetPasses every day I walked round town.

After the StreetPass Relay upgrade though, I can confirm I got 7 (yes, seven!) StreetPass hits today. I even StreetPassed with someone from Germany. Smilie

Ive only met 2 so far!!
But ive just checked my map and it seems my local pub and chinese have hotspots there!! So next time im bringin my ds with me!!! Booom

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

I tried today and I got 3 from 1 hotspot. That's definitely an improvement, considering this location sometimes didn't give me anything.

I wonder how it works though... Why did I get 3 and not 6, if they pull this data out of the whole of Europe?
