Creatures in Pokémon Bank can be Deleted if Trainers Don

A new addition to the Pokémon Bank FAQ has highlighted that Pokémon stored may be deleted after an account has expired.

If players store critters on the new cloud service, they'll remain in their virtual boxes until withdrawn or until the annual paid pass expires. After a month's trial, players will need to pay £4.49/€4.99 or $4.99 per year to use Pokémon Bank.

However, after the pass expires, there'll be a period of time where players can either renew or withdraw their critters, or their Pokémon will be lost forever in the void that's known as the internet.

Will you use the Pokémon Bank service - should creatures be removed after the expiration period?

Pretty harsh that Pokémon get erased when you don't have a subscription. Can't they just store them safely in the cloud til you reactivate your subscription?

I can't see this going well with kids who can't fully read yet. How many Pokémon are going to be lost forever accidentally?

Aye - I recall them originally saying something like the Pokémon would remain there, but you wouldn't be able to add any new ones without a subscription. I do worry that there'll be a lot of lost critters, upset kids and pissed of parents...

That said, I do wonder how many kids would even bother with the Bank - seems really for the hardcores to me

This is still the only way to transfer pokemon between versions right?
To me that makes it a) pretty nesscery to a lot. b) a massive rip off.
