Extended Maintenance for Wii Sports Club on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo will be holding an extended maintenance period for Wii Sports Club during the Nintendo Direct Broadcast.

The service, which includes online play and rankings, will be down for an extended time on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 6:15 to 7am Pacific Time. Reason for the move wasn't detailed, however there is speculation that Nintendo may well be tinkering with the online support for Wii Sports Club and possibly be launching the next sport in the software.

Upon hearing this I would expect to hear that we can download at least one new sport tomorrow after the direct.
